Welcome to the premier issue of The Cry, the official E-Zine and newsletter of The Gryphon's Guild.

This newsletter also heralds in a new year (welcome to Y2K!)... a new year for each of us, and a new year for the Gryphon's Guild.

The Cry is an old tradition dating back to the very beginnings of the Guild. After the Guild was formed, it was merely a "hand-distributed" mailing list that was an organized collection of member submissions. This was before the very popular Board, before all the neat stuff at the homepage, before the GryphList.

The original Cry was distributed to a list of email addresses (Guild members) by Lady Zadeen. Some of the oldest members included Zadeen, Alexander the Griffen, Lore, Aaaamory, and Bry, among many others. Several people submitted poetry, lists, or other Gryph-related works of literature to include in the Cry.

Welcome to the Cry's new incarnation! And please, submit your own Gryph-related works for inclusion!!
