THE GRYPHON COMPENDIUM

{ Listing of known members of family Griffinidae}

By Tralfy

This is a list of known species of gryphon. There are undoubtedly many species yet to be discovered by science. Gryphons are defined as chimerical or composite species - usually Avialae with Felidae - however, they may also have blends of other animals incorporated into their genomes. The originals were the creation of advanced atlantean genetic engineering and most were intended to serve as living war machines. The modern gryph is a wonderful creature created by modern genetic engineering. Most are smaller than the atlantean battle gryphs, but better designed and easier going, making them great companion species.
