Here I hope to present to you the most comprehensive and informative webpage on that singular mythical beast which has flown in human imagination for centuries. More fierce than dragons, more noble than unicorns, the Gryphon is probably one of the most celebrated yet most misunderstood mythical creatures in our history. I have spent a good amount of time gathering all of the information that I could on this wonderful beast, but this page is by no means exhaustive. There are many more legends surrounding the Gryphon that I have yet to dig up, so please come back often.

• Saturday, 22 December – Well, I’ve only had the time to tweak a few things here and there, but nothing major. And I leave today onboard Confidence for a short patrol in the Caribbean, so if sometime within the next month or so you e-mail me or whatnot and I don’t reply, then you know why. ;} Happy Holidays to all!
• Saturday, January 19, 2002 - Yay, my first update f the new year! I'm finally back on land from my little patrol, and I've cleaned up the coding on the main page... If you saw it before, it was scary. I also joined the Gryphon WebRing! Many good gryph sites in there.  Added a new book to my second Literature page, by John Timbs relating Gryphons to Tapirs.  I'm also currently in the process of dividing up my Legend page as well, so look out for that very soon.
• Monday, January 21 - Majorly overhauled the Legend page since it was loading to slow and I have more info to put there. So now it's in sections. The "Origins" section is still not up however, but give me a few days and I'll remedy that.

	Learn the origins of Gryphons and how they have appeared in myth and legend... Beware, lots of info!
	Learn of the Gryphon's relation to gods, chariots, the sun, gold, Christ, Satan, and more.
	A short section depicting the Gryphon's role in heraldry as a charge and supporter, as well as a heraldry "primer".
	This page holds info on the Gryphon's changing appearance in art, as well as a few classical Gryph pics.
	A large list of ancient authors who have written of the Gryphon, as well as excerpts from their works.
	Here you will find who's, where's, and how's on Gryphon art in today's world.
	Find out about modern day Gryphon authors, professional and amateur, as well as Gryph short stories.
	How does the world view Gryphons today, in symbolism and online? All that and more lies within here.
	My extensive search of the web for Gryphon products, currently more than 20 stores strong with over 50 items!
	And of course, a page with info on who created all of this insanity. Well, they DO say that creativeness is a form of madness...
